Project title: 
Distributed load sensing in adaptive locomotion
Abstract: 
In my PhD project, I seek to better understand how insects control their multi-jointed limbs during walking to inspire the design of robotic limbs. I am particularly interested in control mechanisms related to load sensing, and I use a variety of experimental techniques including high-speed motion capture to study them in freely behaving insects.
