Understanding Actions in a Sports Context
Abstract:
Understanding human action is critical to human collaboration with robots but it also increasingly involves surveillance, monitoring, and situation understanding. Sports present events where the types of actions are limited and depend on roles, locations, and situations. Understanding the actions, activity and performance of the players interests many. Action understanding in broadcast video has lead to progress in tracking, recognition, camera rectification, pose, and multi-view action recognition.
