Abstract:

The three disciplines computer graphics, audio, and HCI offer fascinating options when amalgamated in overarching projects. In a show-and-tell style presentation, Sebastian Heise, Michael Hlatky, and Jörn Loviscach discuss a number of their projects that have been shown at international conference or were recently submitted. The selection ranges from visually and aurally supported search for sounds and music to new graphical interfaces for audio production to novel musical instruments and computer-based helpers for classical musical instruments. An outlook addresses new ideas in a variety of application fields that include game development as well as measurement technology. These ideas may form the basis of future joint projects.
